WHAT

Via the Gesso app’s GPS-triggered audio platform, upon entering one of the work’s designated sites, participants' movements activate and create auditory architecture. The work exists in two realms of the unseen: the architecture of the imaginary museum and the contents of the museum’s unseen “galleries.” As one decides which paths to follow, museum spaces are rendered. Each space contains the artist’s sonic interpretations of the unseen force that your museum pays homage to — sound waves, air, reflections, or gravity. Unseen galleries examine concepts including: the length of individual sound waves surrounding your exact location, the influence of biology and geography on hearing, supergravity, invisibility cloaking devices, and air pressure.

Participants are both builder and visitor. The work consciously notes the body's relationship with invisible forces and explores the question: is our world just a sensory illusion constructed of an infinite number of invisible building blocks?

Layers of the unseen.
